The Boujee girls guide to Drugstore products

Raise of hands who literally cringes when checking out at Sephora because you know the total is absurd? Second raise of hands who keeps going anyway because they have a problem? I could not tell you the point in my life I decided it was totally necessary to spend $54 on an eyeshadow pallet (looking at you Naked2) But yet here I am spending way too much money on products that I could get at the drugstore. You may be asking yourself “why don’t you do that then? Well that’s because I have a flair for the fabulous and like to spend money like I’m Beyonce. So for my other boujee ladies who want quality products without the high end price I give you the list of my favorite products that can be found at the drugstore but won’t feel cheap!

Bronzer: Rimmel Sunshimmer Shimmering Maxi Bronzer Sun Queen

This bronzer is my ultimate go to when I want to feel sun kissed. For half the price of most big name makeup brands you can get the exact same look.

Lip Plumper: e.l.f. Lip Plumper

I was pleasantly surprised with this one after using Too Faced lip plumper for so long I didn’t expect too much from a $3 E.L.F product but I really noticed a difference within minutes of using the product and have since switched over from Too Faced to exclusively using this E.L.F one.

Highlight: wet n wild Highlighting Powder

This is that drugstore product that I shamelessly brag about all the time. It’s super pigmented and I honestly prefer it to my more expensive highlighters for every day looks. I have found that a lot of the Wet and Wild highlighters look really good and blend easily into the rest of my look. After using a few drugstore highlighters that weren’t so good I had nearly sworn them off until this one came around.

Powder: L’Oréal Paris True Match Powder

Okay we are going to take a minute here because I want to talk about this product. I hate when my foundation looks oily. I can not stand having my face product move around because my powder is not doing it’s job. Thus my love of this powder was born! I have been using L’Oreal true match for a couple of years now and have actually gone to more expensive brands only to return to this one. I feel like this is that one drugstore product that keeps me coming back.

These are just a few of my go to products when I find myself wandering through CVS but there isn’t anything wrong with finding products that work just the same for half the price. So if you’re on a budget (or just don’t want to put yourself into debt for makeup) check out some of my favorites and tell me what you think!
